The Peacock Inn , 1884. Built by Charles Peacock, a white man, the inn employed many of the early Black Bahamians of Coconut Grove. It was located in what is now Peacock Park and catered to wealthy tourists from the north.

The Mariah home on Charles Avenue in Coconut Grove. The home, built in the mid-1800s, is Dade County's oldest Black dwelling.
